The mission of the Sanford Cultural Guild is to enhance the cultural and artistic significance of Sanford through valuable events and beautification projects.

Contribute to the maintenance of the Bettye D Smith Cultural Arts Center.

Consult with an arborist to address struggling trees in George Touhy Park.

JAPANESE HERITAGE FESTIVAL FEATURING IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL

October 14th, 2023, 10a-4p
Sanford Civic Center

Be transported in this cultural immersion of beautiful Ikebana- the art of Japanese floral arranging. Features private kimono & artifact collections, origami, bonsai, and audience with a traditional tea ceremony.

Enjoy an award-winning bento lunch presented by Chef Junichi of Jimotti's, and private traditional Matcha Green tea and sweet tasting with highest certified Tea Master Professor Chieko Mahori of the Omotensenke School (add-on tickets required).

Our annual community-wide self guided tour into the private residental gardens of the Sanford Historic District. Featuring botanical and wildlife educators, speakers, arts, and a vendor mall & plant sale, perfectly timed for Mother's Day!
